The late-60s and early-70s contained such dynamic style – so boldly colorful and patterned. I”m sure you’ve looked at old pictures and wondered – did that green plaid jacket really make sense with the orange plaid slacks? Perhaps the risk-taking in attire was a reflection of the cultural and political upheaval that swept our country. People wanted to be seen and heard, so they protested. It’s always fascinating to parallel fashion and society at a given point in time. I relived the aesthetics by pairing a broad-striped, shin-length A-line dressed with a funky scarf and large hoop earrings, and instantly was taken aback in more ways than one – throwback, and hollaback!
